Maria Gaia Soana joined the team collaborating with Crisci&Partners in 2014.

She graduated cum laude in Finance and Risk Management at University of Parma with a dissertation entitled “The relationship between corporate social performance and corporate financial performance in the banking sector”. Ms Soana obtained her Ph.D. degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata with a dissertation entitled “Reputation and reputational risk in the banking sector”.

She is Assistant Professor in Economics of Financial Intermediaries at University of Parma and SDA Professor in Banking and Insurance at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Banking and Finance. Since 2013 she is qualified for the role of Associate Professor in Economics of Financial Intermediaries and Corporate Finance.

Author of many papers published in impacted journals on different topics: Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Banking.

At Crisci & Partners she provides scientific consulting on corporate governance of listed firms and financial companies.
